Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Deletes Legendary Twitter Account
Our favorite Tweeter in the world, Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe, has deleted his official Twitter account. The king of the metal ranters has decided that the "kinda addictive" site is "a gigantic waste of time" and has vowed that he will never make a Twitter account ever again.
Blythe has proven himself as one of the most fascinating musicians in the Twitter-verse, having typed many golden rants in giant clusters of 140-word posts. The Lamb of God vocalist has entertained as well as enlightened with tirades about running for President, Marilyn Manson's 'Born Villain' record sales as a sign of the dying music industry and most recently, booking a Lamb of God tour in "crusty punk basements."
The final tweet from the now-defunct @Lambvox account read:
After a few short hours of no twitter on my phone, I feel much better. Although I believe social networking can be used in a positive manner, I also believe it is for the most part a gigantic waste of time. Especially for me. It doesn’t hurt that it’s kinda addictive, & I certainly have that aspect of my personality.
So peace, I’m f---ing outta here. If you see someone on Twitter or Facebook claiming to be me, don’t believe them, because I’ve never had Facebook and in about three minutes I won’t have Twitter. So it was nice to meet some of y’all. I wish you well. Now I’m gonna go read a good book.
Peace- D. Randall Blythe PS- #Randonesia will never die!”
The post was re-tweeted by @LambofGodNews for fans to enjoy as Blythe bowed out from the social networking platform. But fear not fans -- Blythe is keeping his 'Randonesia' blog so you can continue to get your fix of his always entertaining rants.
