It's been exactly one year since the world lost Linkin Park's Chester Bennington. The singer committed suicide on July 20 of 2017 and since his passing, there's been countless memorials, tributes, letters and thank yous and now the band has shared a note to their late bandmate, remembering him on this trying day.

Bassist Dave Farrell posted a heartfelt tribute to Bennington yesterday (July 19), admitting it is still difficult for him to articulate just how much of an impact the singer had on his life and below is a full letter signed by each member, which was issued hours after Farrell's post.

To our brother Chester,

It has been a year since your passing—a surreal rotation of grief, heartbreak, refusal, and recognition. And yet it sill feels like you are close by, surrounding us with your memory and your light. Your one-of-a-kind spirit has authored an indelible imprint on our hearts—our jokes, our joy, and our tenderness.

Eternally grateful for the love, life, and creative passion you shared with us and the world. We miss you more than words can express.

Love,

M, J, D, R, B
