Marilyn Manson Unveils Video for ‘Slo-Mo-Tion’
'Slo-Mo-Tion' is the second video from Marilyn Manson's latest album 'Born Villain,' and is now available for your viewing pleasure (watch below). Music videos can sometimes be generic, but with Manson you know you're not going to get the usual band playing in a warehouse clip.
As you'd expect, the video for 'Slo-Mo-Tion' is dark and artsy, mainly featuring shots of Manson in various costumes and makeup with quick cuts and a lot of different effects and lighting to make things interesting. The video's climax is Manson on the roof of a building with a gun, and ends just before he pulls the trigger.
In a recent interview, Manson discussed the origin of his latest album's title. “I called the record ‘Born Villain’ because coming from a Christian school upbringing you’re taught that you’re born a sinner,” explains Manson. “So you’re a kid, I don’t know really what the sin is unless you’re just covered in blood and you also made your mothers lady parts not the same, potentially, maybe that’s a sin.”
Manson is a master in drawing media attention, garnering coverage recently for writing obscenities on his face to thwart the paparazzi, which of course served to bring even more focus on him.
Manson will hit the road this fall as part of the Twins of Evil tour with Rob Zombie.
