It's starting to get warm outside and Metallica are taking advantage of the chance to get outside. The band recently returned to the road for appearances at Germany's Rockavaria Festival as well as a headlining show at the X Games in Austin, Texas, and they've delivered footage from both events.

The band has offered Met On Tour recaps of the both shows. For the X Games performance, you can take a look at the band's pre-show meet-and-greet where Rob Trujillo, Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich speak with fans, pose for photos and sign items for their fans. Then comes a glimpse inside the band's "Tuning Room," as has become tradition before shows, where they jam through some of the material they'll play before they hit the stage. And finally, you're taken up onstage as Metallica let it rip with a blistering version of "Whiplash." Watch it all in the video above, and check out fan-shot footage from the X Games performance posted below.

As for the second new video, Met On Tour catches up with the band during their May 31 appearance in Munich, Germany, at the Rockavaria Festival. This time, you see Rob Trujillo and Lars Ulrich meeting and joking around with fans before the show, another glimpse at the pre-show warm-up and then a hard hitting version of "Fight Fire With Fire." Catch the recap below.

Though Metallica are working on a new album, they have made some time to play a handful of dates this summer and for the rest of the year. See their upcoming shows here.
