Metallica vs. Pantera – Metal Madness 2013, Quarterfinals
In the Stage Dive Region of Loudwire's March Metal Madness 2013, two heavyweight acts remain! The masses of fans have made their voices heard in our previous battles, but they now face a difficult choice in who advances to the final four.
It's no surprise that Metallica have advanced into the next round of March Metal Madness. In fact, Metallica have never lost a single round in March Metal Madness history, as the song 'Master of Puppets' defeated Slayer's 'Raining Blood' in our 2012 Championship Round. Now, the entire 'Master of Puppets' album is fighting to be named the best ever, but they've got some stiff competition ahead.
Pantera pulled off a tremendous victory last round, as 'Vulgar Display of Power' narrowly beat Iron Maiden's 'The Number of the Beast.' The difference in the Pantera vs. Maiden battle was less than one-percent for a good portion of the time, but Pantera pulled away by a neck at the very end. Pantera now face the biggest metal band in history, but will the Cowboys From Hell score yet another knockout?
