Motorhead's Motorboat Cruise is going to make for some pretty choppy waters with all the rocking going on. Organizers have made several additions to the lineup, while also announcing a very special performance on the opening night of the cruise and revealing some of the theme nights in store for those on board.

First off, the Motorhead Motorboat Cruise will feature several new musical additions, led by Corrosion of Conformity (now with Pepper Keenan back in the band). The Shrine, Others, No Words (featuring guitar prodigy Nik Kai), Budderside, Sonia Harley and the Dead Deads have also joined the cruise performance lineup. Meanwhile, fans can also get in some laughs with the additions of comedians Brian Posehn and Big Jay Oakerson to the lineup.

It should also be noted that the cruise will feature a very special performance this fall. Slayer will perform on night one a "blood moon" lunar eclipse takes place. This marks the fourth and final lunar eclipse of the current lunar tetrad and one of only eight times this is expected to occur during the 21st Century.  Some believe this occurrence is a fulfillment of the “Blood Moon Prophecy” and signals “The Rapture,” as described in the Bible in Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12.Given the band's fascination with blood (Reign in Blood, World Painted Blood), the Sept. 28 performance is a perfect match.

There will also be theme nights going on throughout the cruise. Monday, Sept. 28 is the United Nations of Rock, where cruise participants are invited to let the flags representing their homeland unfurl as they board the ship. That night is the Under the Blood Red Moon Slayer performance. On Tuesday, Sept. 29, there's the Heavy Metal Luau, where fans are invited to sport their most obnoxious Hawaiian shirt, don a straw skirt or make use of coconuts as a fashion statement.

On Wednesday, Sept. 30, it's "Three Ring Freak Show" time, as cruise goers are encouraged to sport their creepy clown, ragtime geek, fortune teller, or circus freak looks. And finally, on Oct. 1, it's Motorhead After Dark, with people invited to share their best imitations of Motorhead's members. This also happens to mark the band's 40th anniversary. As Lemmy says, "40 years of Motörhead will be celebrated aboard the Motörboat, so boys and girls, you know what THAT means, right? There won't be a dry throat in the house!”

Just a reminder, in addition to Motorhead, Slayer and the newly announced acts, the Motorhead Motorboat Cruise will also include sets from previously announced acts Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Phil Campbell's All-Starr Band, Crobot, Motor Sister, Kyng, Fireball Ministry, and Huntress. The cruise runs from Sept. 28 - Oct. 2, setting sail from Miami and hitting Nassau before reaching the Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
