2014 is ending on a strong note for Motorhead. They had their inaugural Motorboat Cruise in September, and last week received the news that 'Heartbreaker' from their latest album 'Aftershock' was nominated for a Grammy. Their 40th anniversary year of 2015 is also shaping up to be a busy one.

In a new interview with Planet Rock (watch above), guitarist  talks about the nomination and Motorhead's upcoming plans: "I found out today we got a Grammy nomination for a best single or something like that. And we've just done a great tour… and we're gonna do a new album next year and then we'll just do our usual touring our ass off."

Campbell was also asked about the health of the band's iconic frontman Lemmy, who had some medical setbacks the last year or so. He answered, "Yeah, he's fine, he's good as gold now. We're slowing down a little bit. We're not gonna do a million shows a year. We'll just do four hundred and sixty."

According to Brave Words, the band will embark on a European tour from May to August, then a U.S. tour from August through September, and then another Europe tour in the fall. They'll also play the second edition of their MotorBoat cruise in September.

Motorhead are also set to enter the studio in January to begin work on their 22nd album. In a recent Loudwire interview, Lemmy said, "That’s when we usually write, in January and February. I always write within the studio, I always go in blind."

In addition to Motorhead and Phil Campbell's All Starr Band, Campbell has also launched a children's music project called 'Panda Party.' “Well, they say never work with animals and children but here I am, working with animals, for children!” says Campbell. “It’s my new project for children six and under. I like the dancing Pandas – I play the guitar on this one but we need celebrities for each week.”

Campbell is working on the project with Neil Starr, frontman for Campbell’s All Starr Band. Their goal is to provide “engaging kids songs and upbeat nursery rhymes to teach ABCs, colors and so much more.” To learn more about Panda Party and watch clips, go here.
