On the Line, a national prostate cancer awareness campaign, has announced the nominees for their first ever Big Daddy Awards. Several rockers made the list, including Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica's James Hetfield and lead Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl.

The 2012 Big Daddy awards will honor celebrity dads in honor of Father's Day, but also to raise funds for Prostate Cancer research and awareness campaigns. Everyone from the President of the United States Barack Obama to mega-star Brad Pitt has been nominated in over 33 different categories. Washington, D.C., and Hollywood aren't the only places being shown love though, some of rock's elder statesmen will also be honored in the "Rock On Big Daddy" category as well as a few others.

In the field that will honor iconic rock and roll dads, Hetfield and Grohl are joined by Jon Bon Jovi, Lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. If the exclusion of Ozzy has you scratching your head, don't worry. The Prince of F***ing Darkness and KISS' Gene Simmons will both vie for the title of  "All Time Reality TV Big Daddy."

If you'd like to place a vote for your favorite rock dad, you can do so by visiting BigDaddyAwards.com now. The voting comes to a close on Father's Day (June 17), with the winners being announced online the very next day (June 18). Celebrity dads aren't the only ones being honored via the Big Daddy Awards, voters can have their father's photo added to the gallery for a donation, from which the proceeds will go toward prostate cancer research, awareness and education programs.
