Periphery, ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ – Exclusive Album Stream

If fan buzz is any indication, Periphery will likely be one of 2015's definitive metal acts. Periphery will begin the year with an epic double album -- 'Juggernaut: Alpha' and 'Juggernaut: Omega.' Both records won't be out until Jan. 27, but we've got the entire 'Juggernaut: Alpha' album streaming exclusively on Loudwire.

'Juggernaut: Alpha,' which clocks in at just over 41 minutes, begins the conceptual journey. Fans have already heard 'The Scourge,' '22 Faces' and 'Alpha' from the first 'Juggernaut' album, but we've got the remaining seven tracks for all you djent-heads out there.

"Part of the reason that we did do the separate albums, because it is a long haul, even as we were writing it and everything, we were like, 'Man, this is a lot of material,'" guitarist Misha Mansoor told us in a recent interview. "I think it makes it a lot more digestible that we had two separate albums because that way, it is sort of treated that way."

Mansoor continues, "Movies and things that really have to set an ambience. A big part of it was that we wanted this to be really cinematic. We wanted there to be a definite vibe to certain parts and to the album in general. It was a dark cinematic vibe and I think a lot of our video game and movie influences probably came through on those."
