Poison Launch Countdown Clock Following Bret Michaels’ Latest Predictions
Every rose has its thorn, but Poison's website is currently thorn-free. Indeed, it appears to be a kind of viscous liquid that's presently shown as the background of a newly-launched countdown clock at the band's internet domain.
The update comes after singer Bret Michaels recently forecast big news on the horizon for the group, and a package tour with both Motley Crue and Def Leppard made headlines. Maybe the fluid seen on the website is plant food.
Regardless, the Poison countdown — now ticking away the days, hours, minutes and seconds — is set to expire Wednesday (Dec. 4) at precisely 4:30 p.m. EST. Poison fans, open up and say, 'Ahh!'
Will Wednesday bring an official announcement of the joint tour mentioned above, an apparent stadium trek plotted for next year between the trio of hair metal legends? Only time will tell.
Perhaps some other Poison revelation will make its way to rock fans by mid-week. After all, Michaels revealed last month that he was working on "something incredible" in regards to the band's touring plans.
It's been 12 years since Poison last released a studio album, 2007's Poison'd! cover album of rock 'n' roll classics. Reaching further back, the band's most recent collection of original material is 2002's Hollyweird. But in an exclusive interview with Loudwire last year, the act's frontman forecast at least one new Poison song to be released by the time 2020 rolls around.
