Queensryche Announce New Album + 2019 Tour With Fates Warning
Next year is going to be a good one for prog metal fans as Queensryche have just announced their new album, The Verdict, which will be out on March 1 and they'll kick off a headlining tour shortly after with fellow prog icons Fates Warning.
"I'm extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record," said singer Todd La Torre of the third album he's been a part of since joining in 2012. "The relentless dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding. I am excited and looking forward to it no longer just belonging to us, but belonging to the world. We hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!"
"The Verdict is the most metal and the most progressive record we have made in a long time. I couldn't possibly be more excited for everyone to hear this," adds guitarist Michael "Whip" Wilton.
The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, Washington, Planet-Z in Wilbraham, Massachusetts and Watershed Studio in Seattle, Washington. Check out the artwork below.
The tour, which begins on March 2 in Orlando, Fla. will, as stated, feature Fates Warning as direct support. Additional support will come from The Cringe on select dates, while various others will feature Queensryche performing exclusively. See the full list of stops below.
