The Red Hot Chili Peppers dropped The Getaway, their first new album since 2011, today (June 17). With the long-awaited release finally here, fans will have the opportunity to celebrate by catching a Chili Peppers concert from the convenience and comfort of their own home.

The quartet swung by the iHeart Radio Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. for an interview to discuss the new record as well as a special performance ranging from classics like "Can't Stop," "By the Way," "Soul to Squeeze," "Other Side" and more alongside fresh cuts like the funky yet soothing "Dark Necessities" (video above) off the new record. Red Hot Chili Peppers on AT&T Live at the iHeartRadio Theater L.A. will air tonight at 9PM ET and PT across the Audience Network, DIRECTV channel 239, U-verse channel 1114, both DIRECTV and U-verse websites and their respective mobile apps. A trailer for the performance can be viewed below.

Bassist Flea recently opened up about the disappointment he felt when he broke his arm snowboarding, leading to a delay in The Getaway. “I went to play one note and a bunch of pain shot up my arm. I tried to play the simplest things and my hand just wouldn’t do it. It felt like I let everyone down, because we couldn’t work on the record,” he told Rolling Stone. It took six months for Flea to rehabilitate the arm and get back to playing bass.

Leading up to the release of The Getaway, the Chili Peppers released the single "Dark Necessities" and two preview songs -- "We Turn Red" and the title track. The Olivia Wilde- directed music video for "Dark Necessities" was just released this week.
