May 16, 2015, marks the fifth anniversary of legendary vocalist Ronnie James Dio's death. His passing dealt a blow to the metal community like only the worst of news can, and to pay tribute to Ronnie's unmatched talent and body of work, we sat down with a bunch of today's biggest names and invited them to share stories and thoughts about Ronnie James Dio.

In this clip, Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor sits down with Full Metal Jackie to talk about his personal experiences with Ronnie. Like most musicians we spoke with, Corey describes the warm heart and gentle personality of heavy metal's biggest voice.

As for Ronnie's vocal abilities, Taylor says, "Ronnie was one of those guys that just made it look so easy … he would basically just kind of go, 'Ahhhhh!,' and then he'd go, 'Alright, I'm ready to go,' and he'd just walk onstage and it was just magic every night."

Taylor was even part of one of Ronnie's last interviews, which took place at the 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards roughly one month before Dio passed away. Corey Taylor reminisces about Ronnie fighting to keep his energy up at the ceremony, despite fighting what would become terminal cancer.
