With the success of the rock biopics Bohemian Rhapsody, The Dirt and Rocketman, everyone seems to be curious which legendary rock band will receive the big screen spotlight next. Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford recently spoke with CBS San Francisco regarding the possibility of a Priest biopic, since the group is in the fifth decade of their career, and he admits that a lot of the band's story hasn't been told.

"There’s been loads of unauthorized [Judas Priest] documentaries floating around for a while, but not to the level of Bohemian Rhapsody," Halford begins. The singer hasn't seen The Dirt yet, but claims he will because he is a Motley Crue fan and is friends with the band members. "Priest has had a very interesting life. We’re one of the longest surviving working heavy metal bands and a lot of our life story has been documented, but a lot of it hasn’t," he continues.

"I think you have to have a strong storyline to really push, otherwise it kind of falls flat in today’s sensationalist TMZ world. You’ve got to have some stuff going on there," the frontman explains, stating that Priest have always tried to to keep their offstage lives private. "But having said that, there’s no doubt the story that we’ve told musically, the way we came from where we came from and our place in this style of music called heavy metal, there’s a lot to focus on there that would be really interesting."

As far as whether the band plans to make a movie documenting their career, Halford says, "We'll have to wait and see."
