Royal Thunder are talking about their second record. The group just revealed details for ‘Crooked Doors,' which will be released on April 7.

In a statement posted via Relapse Records, the band said of the new effort, “It’s been too long. Thanks for being patient with us in delivering this album! We hope you are fond of it. Looking forward to revisiting familiar places and face[s].”

Relapse Records also shared a quote from the band that speaks to the title of the new disc -- “Show us the door that is not crooked but cracked. Which leads us to that open road. Let us walk through that.”

'Crooked Doors' will act as Royal Thunder's follow-up to their debut disc, ‘CVI,’ which came out back in 2012. In 2013, they toured heavily, supporting Baroness on the first trek after the band's gruesome bus crash, and played festivals like Bonnaroo. Royal Thunder then spent much of 2014 creating and recording the 11 tracks for ‘Crooked Doors.’

Royal Thunder are expected to announce more details about their upcoming release soon, along with 2015 tour dates in support of the new album.
