Sevendust Talk ShipRocked 2014, Upcoming Acoustic Tour + More

ShipRocked veterans Sevendust were rock royalty on this year's cruise, but you wouldn’t know it as all of the members walked around and graciously greeted their fans. On this year's ShipRocked cruise, which we were fortunate enough to attend, the band performed two very unforgettable and different sets -- an acoustic set in the Stardust Theater (which turned into the Sevendust Theater that night) and an electrifying electric set outside on the Deck Stage.

We had the chance to catch up with frontman Lajon Witherspoon, bassist Vinny Hornsby and drummer Morgan Rose, who all spoke all about the ShipRocked experience as well as their first acoustic performance in a long time. ShipRockers were lucky enough to get a taste of new and old acoustic songs before the band hits the road in April.

Sevendust are gearing up to tour in promotion of their forthcoming acoustic disc ‘Time Travelers & Bonfires.’  As far as their upcoming acoustic tour and what we can expect, Rose exclaims “There’s all kinds of weird stuff.” There’s no opener on the tour, it is truly an evening with Sevendust for die-hard Sevendust fans.  During the interview the band also teased a few surprises that fans can expect on the tour.
