Tackling one of Eddie Van Halen's most popular guitar solo at the school talent show definitely takes guts, but this 8th grader was up for the challenge. While things started off a little rocky in the beginning with what appears to be the whammy bar falling off of his guitar and on to the floor, the show must go on. The young guitar ace quickly recovers and jumps right into the intense solo.

While there’s no mention on whether or not he placed in the competition, that is one award winning performance! And hey, the clip was recorded back in 2008 so one can only imagine how much he has improved in the years since then - watch out Eddie Van Halen!
