Tenacious D Show in Las Vegas Shut Down After Stabbing
Actor Jack Black and Kyle Gass brought their comedy meets rock band hybrid Tenacious D to the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas, Nev. over the weekend (July 28). However, it was anything but laughs after a fight broke out in the crowd leaving one concert-goer the victim of a stabbing.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that according to one eyewitness, there was an altercation between two men in the audience which resulted in a large pool of blood in the right side of the stage. The victim was stabbed in the leg and taken to the hospital, with a full recovery expected.
The venue cancelled the remainder of the show closing down shop for the evening, which also resulted in the regularly scheduled Steel Panther show to be cancelled as well.
Local police have arrested one individual but neither the police nor security officials would comment on the violent series of events.
Tenacious D released their latest disc ‘Rize of the Fenix’ in May and continue to tour in support of it. They have two dates remaining in the U.S. before heading to Germany.
