Tom Morello says there will be unheard music from Audioslave released at some point in the future, though the guitarist cautioned that there isn't a lot of it in the vaults.

“The question is: 'Is there a lot of unreleased Audioslave material?' There’s not a lot, but there is unreleased Audioslave material which is pretty great and it will come out at some point,” Morello says in a new interview with Kerrang! which can be viewed below. “I don’t know when.”

Morello was then asked about the song "Sleight of Hand," which is considered one of the rarest tracks by the band.

“Yeah, there's a done version of that - yeah. It's a jam," the guitarist replies. "It was gonna to be the first single for Revelations, but then [bassist] Timmy [Commerford] really hated it because he thought it sounded like a Danzig song, which is weird. And then he yelled, ‘Fuck you!’ a lot to the head of the label. And next thing you know we just said, ‘Let’s not put it on the record because we’re about to get dropped.’"

"That one will see the light of day," he says. "There’s some other jams too, there's some real good jams, but there’s no plans for that."

Audioslave formed in 2001, consisting of the core members of Rage Against the Machine with Chris Cornell on vocals. They released three studio albums before breaking up in 2007, but reunited in January of last year for a one-off show and had hopes of making music together again, but those plans evaporated with the death of Cornell in May 2017.
