Florida metallers Trivium have just released a new lyric video for 'Black,' the third single from the band's 2011 album, 'In Waves.' 'Black' succeeds in taking lyric videos to the next level in terms of intensity - with words lunging at your screen and an apocalyptic feel giving the lyrics even more weight.

'In Waves' was released on August 2011, debuting at lucky No. 13 on the Billboard Top 200 and nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart. 'In Waves' proved to be an acclaimed album, making our very own Top 10 Metal Albums of 2011 list.

In our recent interview with Trivium frontman Matt Heafy, he told us about 'In Waves' as the next step in the band's career. "I think the big thing with our sound is that every album sounds pretty different," explained Heafy. "People typically don’t know what to expect when listening to one of our albums. With this record, it sounds like Trivium, it doesn’t sound like another band, it doesn’t sound like something else or some other genre, it truly just sounds like our band. I don’t know what components made that happen or how a band can make that happen but it took us five records to really hone out what sound like."

Trivium are set to begin their 'Still Reckless' North American tour in March, sharing the stage with Asking Alexandria, Dir En Grey, I See Stars, Motionless in White and the Amity Affliction. Click here for dates.
