Watch ‘Jumanji’ Stars Jack Black, The Rock + Kevin Hart Sing Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Welcome to the Jungle’
The Jumanji sequel is almost upon us. The reset of the classic 1995 film starring Robin Williams features a star-studded cast consisting of Jack Black, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and comedian Kevin Hart. Naturally, there's bound to be some funny business between the three and they had some laughs while making the press rounds, bursting into song mid-interview. What song? Oh, just "Welcome to the Jungle."
The GN'R anthem is the theme song for the film, which is fully titled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It's even more befitting that the cast members were seated in scenic Hawaii (nice, huh?), surrounded by lush green flora during their interview. The trio was asked if they could sing a bit of the song and they did just that, with Grammy award winner Jack Black taking the lead as The Rock and Hart joined in. Black unrepentantly took aim at Axl Rose's iconic opening falsetto scream and, fortunately, the microphone was able to withstand the actor's glass-shattering range.
Check out the clip below, which The Rock posted on Instagram, to see the three tackle "Welcome to the Jungle."
The reporter made an attempt to keep the song going, vocalizing instrumental parts, but his efforts were in vain. "Then in the end he wants to continue the song which then for some inexplicable reason we feel he crossed the line and we shut that shit down," The Rock said jokingly. In the clip, Rock and Hart are seen putting on a face, telling the reporter that they're done.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will arrive in theaters on Dec. 20.
