Weezer Make Pete Wentz Endure Ride Share Nightmare in ‘Can’t Knock the Hustle’ Video
Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz makes a nightmarish guest turn as a rideshare driver in Weezer's latest video for "Can't Knock The Hustle." The song and video are the first release from the band's upcoming disc, The Black Album, which is expected to arrive next year via Crush Music/Atlantic Records. TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek produced the album.
In the clip produced by Jerry Media, Wentz is behind the wheel attempting not to be distracted by an overly passionate couple who make his journey one he'd like to forget, but hey, can't knock the hustle, as we find out with an odd turn at the end of the clip.
Weezer are also having some fun with the video launching a supposed ride share service page with a phone number you can text. Check it out at Hastaluegoadios.com.
Meanwhile, Weezer expect to say hello to fans in the New Year, also announcing their first major tour of 2019. The group will play more shows with the Pixies after their successful 2018 pairing. A North American trek will start March 8 in Louisville, Ky., wrapping April 12 in Las Vegas. Tickets for the trek will go on sale Friday, Oct. 19 at 10AM local time via Live Nation.
