Anyone who has experienced Attila live knows that they know how to party. It’s been a huge year of touring for the band, from spending the summer on Warped Tour to rounding out the year with Falling in Reverse, as Attila continue to rock songs from their latest album, Guilty Pleasures. We had the opportunity to chat with frontman Chris “Fronz” Fronzak about the band’s most recent release, as well as their passionate fan base. The Fronz also dishes about what keeps him going as he marks a decade with Attila. Check out our full interview with Chris “Fronz” Fronzak of Attila below:

Attila's latest album is called Guilty Pleasures. What does that title and phrase mean to you?

The album is probably a lot of people’s guilty pleasure, meaning everybody likes it but they won’t want to admit it. I think it’s an album for everyone.

What do you think it is about the band musically, lyrically or live that causes fans to gravitate towards Attila?

I think that we’re just different than everybody else. I think in this music scene so many bands sound similar where you could be at a tour like Warped Tour and pass a stage and not even know who’s playing because everyone sounds the same. The way I explain it to everybody is that Attila is like this drug dealer that has this one type of drug that no one else has and everyone’s addicted to this drug but you could only get it from us. I think what makes our fans so passionate is that there aren’t 10 other Attilas out there. There’s only one so if you want to see us then come see us and party with us, it just creates a loyal fan base, I love it and I’ve got respect for the fans because of that.

Attila has been around for more than a decade now – what keeps you and band going strong?

Yeah there’s a lot of work that goes into being a band, especially for us being a band for over 11 years now. Honestly what keeps us going are the fans, really our fan base keeps growing and they keep getting more passionate and energetic. Every show we play gets better and better. I just feel like the fans are what inspire me to keep going, even when I reach points where I’m hating life or whatever I think the fans are what drive me to push forward.

What does the rest of 2015 have in store for you?

I’ve been doing some solo rap stuff which is cool. We’re just going to start writing more and try to push out another Attila single soon.

What is one non-electronic item you must have on tour with you and why?

Oh, one non-electronic item, good question, I have a lot of electronic items. [Laughs] I try to keep packing to such a minimum I don’t even know. A comfortable pair of flip-flops and weed, I guess? [Laughs] Lots of razors, too, to shave myself because I’m f---in' hairy.
