Drummer-for-hire Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Devo), has joined the touring lineup of Sublime With Rome, whose drummer Bud Gaugh is leaving the band to spend more time with his family.

Sublime with Rome broke the news on KROQ's Kevin & Bean show during a Dec. 11 interview before the 22nd annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show; the gig marked their last performance with Gaugh.

During the interview, Gaugh announced that he and his wife are expecting a baby. The Gaughs registered at Babies R Us with the "event date" listed as Feb. 2.

Gaugh and bassist Eric Wilson were in the '90s alternative ska band Sublime singer Brad Nowell. The group released the monster hits 'What I Got' and 'Santeria' among others. Sadly, Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996.

Gaugh and Wilson started performing as Sublime With Rome with singer-guitarist Paul Rome in 2009. On July 11, the outfit released their debut album 'Yours Truly.'

Freese is a permanent member of A Perfect Circle and also toured or recorded with Nine Inch Nails, the Offspring, Weezer, Devo and other major acts.
