Women have become an increasingly influential breath of fresh air within the metal community. As female musicians gain greater prevalence, they influence the next generation of metalheads, two of which are vocalist Aaralyn and drummer Izzy from the sensational kid act Murp.

We recently invited Murp to our studios for an interview about their celebrated 2013 stint on America's Got Talent as well as their newest EP, Sweet Music. Not stopping simply at an interview, we sat down the brother and sister team and introduced them to some awesome acts with female guttural vocals.

Aaralyn has a brutal scream herself, one she began to develop at the young age of three. That being the case, we wondered what her and Izzy's opinion would be of vocalists such as Angela Gossow (ex-Arch Enemy), Maria Brink (In This Moment), Kat Katz (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Onielar (Darkened Nocturne Slaughtercult) and a few others.

Neither of the duo had treated their ears to the abrasive sounds of these female powerhouses before, so the reactions we got turned out to be absolutely priceless. The two even offered some advice for a few of the singers and finally named their personal favorites at the very end.

Watch Aaralyn and Izzy critique some of metal's finest female vocalists in the video above! To grab a copy of Murp's Sweet Music EP, click here.
