Yet another massive festival has just been announced to take place in the good ol' U.S.A. On May 11, a total of 15 bands, including Alice in Chains, Killswitch Engage, Papa Roach, Device and more, will descend upon Kansas City, Mo., for the city's annual Rockfest.

Not to be confused with Wisconsin's Rock Fest, Kansas City's Rockfest is celebrating its 10th anniversary of gathering fans to check out some of rock's biggest bands. Along with the groups mentioned above, Rockfest will also feature In This Moment, Seether, Red Line Chemistry, Volbeat, Young Guns, Halestorm, Aranda, Sevendust, Eye Empire, Heaven's Basement + All That Remains on its two-stage lineup.

The Kansas City Rockfest organizers have shared their excitement for the festival's 21st anniversary and 10th edition since returning to the Liberty Memorial location, detailing a bit of history in a recent blog post:

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago! Rockfest 2013 will be the 10th Rockfest since our return to The Liberty Memorial. Much has happened in that decade. We started off on the north side, just across the street from Union Station. Sales the second year back in 2005 were so strong we moved to the southeast lawn. After hitting a sell-out of 40,000 on that lawn, the time came to move again, putting the main stage on the Penn Valley Park side of the street. With that move, capacity went to 55,000. Much to our shock and extreme pleasure, Kansas City then began to regularly sell-out the show at 55,000!
