Avatar are set to unleash the new album 'Hail the Apocalypse' this spring and they've got a great new video for the title track that we're exclusively premiering for you right here at Loudwire (watch above).

If there's one thing we're learning from the video is that you better listen when vocalist Johannes Eckerstrom speaks. The clip finds Eckerstrom proclaiming the apocalypse is coming, much to the derision of two '20s-era street hecklers and an upper crust couple who taunt the singer from the apartment above. But despite their taunts, it's Eckerstrom who gets the last laugh.

Eckerstrom says of the Johan Carlen-directed clip, "This is our best video to date. I play your friendly neighborhood doomsday prophet. You get to follow me facing the unbelievers and their reactions when chaos ensues. Good times all around and we are using some really amazing special effects to blow up the planet. Oh, and it's done like a silent movie.”

'Hail the Apocalypse' is featured on the Swedish band's forthcoming album of the same name. The disc is due May 13 and may be pre-ordered via iTunes. Fans can also look for Avatar on the road, ramping up promotion of their new album. They'll join Escape the Fate, Pop Evil and Glamour of the Kill on U.S. dates that can be seen here.
