You wanted to know what Corey Taylor thinks, so here it is! The Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman has responded to statements made by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, calling him an “idiot” and advising Kroeger to “curl up in bed with your Hello Kitty pillow and shut up.”

It all started with an interview in which Kroeger claimed Stone Sour were “trying to be Nickelback,” saying, “They’re okay, but they’re not as good as Nickelback. They sound like ‘Nickelback Lite.'” Kroeger also added he has yet to hear a hit song from Stone Sour.  But he wasn't done ripping on Taylor's bands, as he stated, “[Slipknot] had to put on masks and jump around. How good can your music be if you’ve got to beat each other up on stage, throw up in your own masks every night?” The Nickelback frontman explained that Corey Taylor said some nasty things about him in the past.

The rant on Corey Taylor’s bands blew up the rock and metal interwebs, so naturally, Taylor gave his response during an interview with 98 KUPD (watch above). “I was sitting there trying to figure out how I was going to handle this, because it’s so funny,” Taylor said before denying he had ever said it was “easy” to write a hit song. "I don't know what the hell planet he's living on,” Corey said. “Apparently it's Planet Kroeger, and there must be good weed there, 'cause he's an idiot."

“I was so cued up to say some stuff about him, and then I just started reading all the comments online. I don’t have to say a damn thing. He is not a liked person,” Corey continued. “You can run your mouth all you want. All I know is I've been voted 'Sexiest Dude In Rock' wearing a mask. You've been voted 'Ugliest Dude In Rock' twice without one. Stick that up your ass."

Corey added has no issues with any other Nickelback members, “I love all the dudes in that band. I love Mike [Kroeger]. Everybody else in that band I'm very, very cool with; I've hung out with them. It's just 'Face Like A Foot' who I can't really hang out with. He's got a face like a foot. Am I wrong? … So, dude, curl up in bed with your Hello Kitty pillow and shut up."

Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand added that Nickelback wanted Stone Sour to open for them during a 2017 Canadian run of dates. Stone Sour declined the offer.

Corey Taylor even shouted Loudwire out TWICE during the Nickelback talk. “All we’re doing right now is creating news feeds for Loudwire and Alternative Press,” Corey said. A few minutes later, Corey continued, “We’ve already given Loudwire too much. I’m officially bummed out now.”

Corey, when we ask, “What does Corey Taylor think?”, we didn’t mean your thoughts about us!!! Anyway, Corey isn’t wrong about the “news feeds” thing, as evidenced by this post.

In other Stone Sour news, the band proved Kroeger wrong about not being able to write a hit song. “Song #3” is currently the No. 1 active rock hit in the country; Stone Sour’s fourth time hitting the top spot.
