Corey Taylor: Stone Sour’s ‘Fabuless’ Is About ‘People Who Are Famous for Nothing’

A little over a month ago, Stone Sour dropped two new songs off their upcoming album Hydrograd on the same day, the heavy track "Fabuless" and the radio-friendly single "Song #3." We recently caught up with frontman Corey Taylor at Rock on the Range, and he explained the meaning behind both songs.

Taylor told Loudwire Nights host Toni Gonzalez that "Fabuless" is a "love letter" to the social media celebrities who are "about as heavy as a Tupperware bowl." He adds, "There are these people who are famous for nothing. I thought it wouldn't get any worse than reality television people, and then the social media celebrities came ... There were whole Vine tours at one point and thousands of screaming girls, and I'm going, 'What the hell is this?'"

As for "Song #3," Taylor reveals that the tune is "about a certain kind of love that I don't think songwriters really talk about. It's that strong passionate love but also that undying love. That really, really good s--t, you know?"
