Cristina Scabbia Joins 'The Voice of Italy'

- Lacuna Coil's Cristina Scabbia has pulled up a chair with the Italian edition of The Voice. The vocalist is serving as one of the coaches for the just starting new season and you can see a featurette about her appearance (in Italian) right here.

- For those pouring over every detail of that new Tool album, guitarist Adam Jones has revealed that the band is working with 2" tape and an "ultimate SSL board w/ Neve and API modules. See his posting about the analog setup here.

- X Japan are making the most of their time out west. The band will play both weekends of Coachella, but in between, they've booked a special screening of their We Are X documentary at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on April 18. Get more details here.

- 7 Seconds have called it a career. Singer Kevin Seconds issued a heartfelt missive to the band's fans making the announcement on behalf of the group. The band's tenure ends after 38 years. See their statement here.
