Disturbed Singer David Draiman to Go Industrial with New Musical Project
Disturbed may be on indefinite hiatus, but fans of vocalist David Draiman will be happy to hear that the singer announced via Twitter he is working on a new "musical project" in the vein of Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.
Disturbed fans were surprised when the band announced that they planned to "go away for...an indefinite period of time" after their headlining stint on last year's Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. After that engagement and handful of South American dates concluded, Disturbed released a B-Sides collection called 'The Lost Children' and that was it -- the band officially went on vacation.
Recently Disturbed bassist John Moyer joined the band Adrenaline Mob, and in a recent series of tweets, David Draiman revealed that he has a new gig as well, and that he made the official announcement for the as-of-yet unnamed project on VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show,' set to air on May 26. The singer also confirmed that he is involved in a vocal capacity and that the project has a more industrial vibe -- along the lines of Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.
