If you weren’t able to catch Phil Anselmo in action earlier this year as he took the stage for the Metal Masters 3 Clinic, don’t worry, he is hitting the road with his band Down later this year.

In an interview with Full Metal Jackie, Anselmo stated, “We got the new Down record, man, which is finished and mastered and we’re just waitin’ on art work.”

Anselmo continued, “To me I’m happy with this EP – we went through a lot of different things, personally during the making of this record that I can’t really get into right now but everything has worked itself out and really at the end of the say I’m happy with the result. I’m thinkin’ if you like Down, if Down is your cup so to speak there’s no way we could’ve let you down.”

Down performed a new track titled ‘The Misfortune Teller’ while on tour earlier in the year. The new Down disc is due out later this summer. The band’s tour is currently scheduled to kick off on Sept. 18 in Fort Worth, Texas, and wrap up Oct. 2 in Charlotte, N.C.
