Last weekend the first ever 48 Hours Festival took over Las Vegas for two days of non-stop rock. Shortly after Five Finger Death Punch's set, MTV's Headbangers Ball caught up with guitarist Jason Hook to talk about the success of the show in the band's hometown and the tour the band kicked off that very night.

When asked to describe 5FDP’s 48 Hour Festival set, Hook said it was insane: “You can feel the excitement in the air. Our set was pretty chaotic.” He explained in more detail saying, “I saw some people jump up onstage and get pummeled and then I saw some fighting in the crowd. It’s crazy - It’s Vegas, it’s a rock festival, 48-hours straight, you really can’t beat that kind of energy and that’s what we like.”

The 48 Hours Festival also served as the kickoff date for the band’s ‘Share The Welt Tour’ and Jason told fans what they could expect throughout the tour, “We spent some time in rehearsal, we built this massive 3-D stage show with video screens. We were trying for something big and spectacular and to keep it visually fresh for the fans. That’s all I can tell ya.”

With bands like All That Remains and Hatebreed joining Five Finger Death Punch on their ‘Share The Welt Tour,’ the lineup is stacked. Jason talked about the bands he'll be sharing the stage with, “The bands we’re bringing with us are good friends of ours and known for the strength of their performances. I expect it will be a successful three month tour.”
