Full of Hell See Outpouring of Support After Van, Gear + Merch Stolen

East Coast death metal and grindcore act Full of Hell received a wealth of support after their van was stolen near Atlanta last week while the group was on tour with Cattle Decapitation. The vehicle contained the band's musical gear as well as their concert merchandise along with personal items.

But a fundraiser started by a friend of the group quickly received more than its stated goal. As the aim of $20,000 surpassed $37,000, Full of Hell suspended the GoFundMe page from receiving further donations. However, the Nov. 28 theft caused the band to cancel their remaining dates while the rest of the tour package (Cattle Decapitation with Atheist as well as Author and Punisher) continues, as both BrooklynVegan and Exclaim reported.

On Nov. 29, the band shared, "Last night our entire van was stolen with all of our gear, merch and even most of our clothing. We've been touring for 10 years and have been lucky enough to have never been robbed before. There have been close calls but never anything like this. I feel completely crushed to lose all of the gear we spent years building and tinkering with along with our trustworthy van." See the full message below.

That same day, after posting photos of some of their stolen equipment, the band offered an update. "We've been absolutely bombarded with well wishes and donations and while we feel overwhelmed with the support we also don’t want anything more than we need to replace what was lost, so we've had the gofundme taken down," the said. "Any excess money will be donated to a charity TBD."

Full of Hell's latest album Weeping Choir emerged in May via Relapse Records. It was recorded and produced by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at his GodCity Studio in Massachusetts.
