Ghost (aka Ghost B.C.) vocalist / leader Papa Emeritus II has officially been retired. During a June 3 performance in Linköping, Sweden, Papa Emeritus III usurped his predecessor and performed three new songs for a packed house.

The Infestissumam era of Ghost is over, and much like Papa Emeritus I gave up his position to Papa Emeritus II, the newest Ghost singer has taken power. The coming of Papa Emeritus III was recently teased on a late night ad on VH1, as were new devilish masks to be worn by the instrumental section of nameless ghouls.

The switch has been made! And thanks to some fan-filmed footage, we can now see the entity which will be heard on Ghost's upcoming third full-length album, Meliora. Speaking of the record, we've already heard the fresh track "Cirice," but now three additional tracks -- "From the Pinnacle to the Pit," "Absolution" and "Majesty" -- can be enjoyed thanks to Swedish fans and their smartphones.

Ghost's third album, "Meliora," will be released on Aug. 21, so look out for that. Stay tuned for more on Papa Emeritus III and Ghost's highly anticipated third full-length as news continues to break. Check out the live footage of Ghost's three new songs below!
