A few days before they are set to be honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, two 'Appetite for Destruction'-era members of Guns N' Roses will present the 'Riff Lord' award at Revolver's Golden Gods Awards.

The fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards will take place Wednesday, April 11 at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, and will feature a number of special performances from artists like Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Korn and 2011 'Best New Band' recipients Black Veil Brides with special guest Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.

The festivities will also have a rock star-studded list of award presenters, including Tenacious D and the just announced re-teaming of, former GN'R bandmates, Steven Adler and Duff McKagan. The pair will be on hand to present the 'Riff Lord' trophy, for which Dave Grohl, Zakk Wylde, Munky, Scott Ian, Eddie Van Halen and fellow ex-Gunner, Slash are nominated.

The event should serve as an interesting precursor to the much-hyped Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, which takes place on April 14. Several members of Guns N' Roses past and present will be in attendance at the Golden Gods Awards including current guitarist DJ Ashba, who will be on hand to perform with Sixx:A.M. Perhaps the this will give the involved parties a forum to bury the hatchet and coordinate a one-off reunion performance. (Fingers crossed!)

Similar to what Slash told Loudwire recently, Steven Adler tweeted that he would also "love to play" with Guns N' Roses at the Rock Hall.

For the first time in it's four year history, the Revolver Golden Gods Awards will be broadcast live on Xbox LIVE and on both Xbox and Revolver's Facebook pages. You can also check out the full list of awards for the April 11 event and vote for the nominees here.
