Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose Talks AC/DC, Prince + Coachella During Paparazzi Encounter at Los Angeles Airport
When it comes to rock 'n' roll, Axl Rose always had the rock aspect down and now he has proved he knows how to roll... on a scooter! The Guns N' Roses frontman is still nursing a broken bone in his left foot sustained at the band's West Hollywood gig at the Troubadour where he unveiled the band's the new lineup for the first time live. The injury has left the icon in a boot cast and he was recently spotted moving along on a scooter at LAX airport in Los Angeles.
The video above was acquired by TMZ and shows Rose arriving at LAX in a four-wheeled scooter fixed with a cushioned bench. Riding along with his left leg resting atop the bench, he pushes his way through the airport while being questioned by the man filming. He asks the singer what his favorite AC/DC song is, which Rose responds saying, "Right now, 'Touch Too Much.'"
When asked how the Coachella shows went, Axl states, "The shows went really good, the crowd was amazing. It was really nice. The first show was good, the second show was more fun." When asked why the second performance was more fun, the singer said, "I don't know, the crowd was even more responsive." Rose also said he does not feel restricted by the injury and revealed he will be able to take the boot cast off "in a couple weeks."
Someone in the background shouts out asking Rose what his thoughts on the late Prince are, to which he replied, "Very sad, very sad thing — big Prince fan."
Guns N' Roses have wrapped up the first wave of shows with the new lineup, which now boasts original members Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. The legends performed two shows in Las Vegas, two at Coachella and two in Mexico and will resume touring again in June. For a full list of tour dates, click here.
