Helmet have announced a string of U.S. dates for September and October, as the influential New York-based quartet continues to support its latest album, last year's 'Seeing Eye Dog.'

The trek kicks off Sept. 27 in Denver and currently is scheduled through an Oct. 14 gig in Charlotte, N.C. It includes an Oct. 7 performance as part of Chicago's Riot Fest, a five-day festival in the Windy City that will also feature Danzig Legacy, Weezer, Social Distortion and many other acts.

Previous to that, Helmet will embark on a five-date jaunt of mostly West Coast dates. That outing starts Aug. 25 in Pioneertown, Calif., and includes an Aug. 27 show with the Butthole Surfers and the Melvins. Fans can also expect additional fall dates to be announced shortly: "Stay tuned ’cause there’s more coming!" reads a post on the band's site.

Helmet frontman Page Hamilton currently is in Portland, Ore., and today will be conducting a rare guitar master class for students enrolled in Portland's School of Rock.
