Ukrainian band Jinjer have started a donation campaign and plans to donate to charities throughout their home country. The progressive metal band has also now officially canceled all of their shows in North America due to the ongoing war, including their Knotfest Roadshow appearances.

Jinjer recently released a statement confirming their personal safety as well as the safety of their families. The band condemned the war stating that "NOTHING can justify the violence and death of innocents and this is exactly what's happening in our country right now."

The Ukrainian band's bassist, Eugene Abdukhanov, said this about their campaign and all of the messages they've been receiving in a recent press release, "Thank you for all of your concerned messages and prayers sent to us over the last week, we may not answer but we are reading them and they mean the world to us. As you know, there is war raging through the streets and the cities of Ukraine right now. Many people have little or no food or water and are very afraid of what tomorrow may bring."

The bassist added that "Together with Napalm Records, we're releasing two new T-Shirt designed to raise funds to be donated to various charities throughout Ukraine to help with medical and food supplies, water and so on. If you cannot donate then please share this or any news related to what's really happening here. Each sale may save somebody's life in Ukraine. Thank you."

All of the proceeds will be directly distributed to a charity of Jinjer's choosing and the band will continue to update us via social media. You can see pictures of the T-Shirts below, one of which has the band's name on it and "we want our home back" along with a peace sign in Ukrainian flag colors.

As for touring, as stated all upcoming North American shows have been called off. But at present, the band's May touring in Latin America remains as well as dates in Europe this summer. Stay up to date via the band's website.
