Killer Be Killed Rock Out in New ‘Wings of Feather and Wax’ Video
The supergroup Killer Be Killed have released the first video from their self-titled debut album. Watch the hard-hitting performance promo for 'Wings of Feather and Wax' above.
The clip is a straightforward video of the band playing the song. Max Cavalera (Soulfly), Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan) and Troy Sanders (Mastodon) all take a turn at vocals on the song. Drummer Dave Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta) rounds out the lineup.
Loudwire recently spoke with Cavalera about how he first got involved with Killer Be Killed. "Tthat was actually Greg [Puciato]‘s idea," Cavalera says. "I was not looking for a project. I’ve got Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy and I’m very busy, but Greg was very persistent. He was like, 'We’ve got to do it. We’ve got to do this project,' and I told him, 'We can do it, but it’s gotta be different.''
Cavalera continues, "And it was. We got together and made a really special record I think -- especially with the voices. You’ve got Greg’s voice, my voice, Troy’s [Sanders] voice. It’s a collision, man. It’s really, really weird. But it works and it doesn’t sound like our own bands, so that’s a good thing."
'Killer Be Killed' was released last month, and debuted at No.58 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was produced by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold).
