Killswitch Engage are at the tail of their European tour and they'll be finishing it up without guitarist Joel Stroetzel. He left the run due to a family emergency and the band's production/stage manager is filling in.

The news broke on Killswitch's Instagram page, where they posted a story (no longer available after the 24-hour expiration window) showing production/stage manager Josh Mihlek sitting in front of a computer, guitar in hand.

"Due to a family emergency Joel had to leave the tour and head home. The next two shows our brother and production/stage manager legend @the_josh will be filling in for a few songs," wrote the band.

With Mihlek not playing the full show, it has left the group to perform some tracks as a four-piece. Only two shows remained on the trek supporting Parkway Drive, one in Vienna, Austria and the other in Prague, Czech Republic. The Vienna show is in the books and footage of Killswitch playing "Rose of Sharyn" can be viewed below.

In late December, Killswitch Engage confirmed they have finished recording their eighth studio album and follow-up to 2016's Incarnate. They'll hit North America on a co-headlining trek with Parkway Drive and those stops can be seen below.
