Motley Crue are apparently getting ready to sign a contract with the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel for a three-week plus residency, for which the band would play concerts three or four nights a week at the off-strip casino, reports the Las Vegas Sun.

If the deal goes through, it would make the Crue the first metal band in history to play a residency at the Hard Rock. The shows are tentatively scheduled to start at the end of February; however, an official announcement has not been made as of yet.

The timing of the gigs is perfect for the Crue to cash in on the deluxe collector's hardcover edition of their revealing memoir 'The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band,' which will be released Nov. 22. The New York Times Bestseller came out 10 years ago and was written with Neil Strauss, who also wrote the Marilyn Manson bio 'The Long Hard Road Out of Hell' and 'Don't Try This at Home: A Year in the Life of Dave Navarro.'

Motley Crue will head to the UK in early December for a six-date tour with Def Leppard that begins Dec. 6 in Birmingham and runs through Dec. 14 at London's Wembley Arena.
