Nine-Year-Old Covering Slipknot at School Talent Show Knows What’s Up
Slipknot likely aren't the first choice for nine-year-olds when it comes to picking a song to perform at a talent show, but this little dude did just that. Although little context is given around the performance, we know that he was nine years old at the time (the video was posted in 2015) and chose Slipknot's "The Devil in I" to perform at a talent show in what looks to be a school gymnasium.
He comes out of the gates swinging with one foot mounted on a chair and an impressive growl that doesn't sound like it's coming from a nine-year-old. His clean singing voice is actually decent as well, and he hits a ridiculous note around the 3:38 mark that had even the supervisor behind him surprised. Check it out below and be sure to leave us a comment with your thoughts.
In Slipknot news, frontman Corey Taylor recently compared the band’s new songs to those from their 2001 classic, Iowa. “It’s only in the demo stages right now, however we have very serious, tentative plans – and I say that because the best way to make God laugh is to announce your plans out loud – to go into the studio at the beginning of next year and get this fucker going,” he told Kerrang!. “We have 16 songs written right now, and they are fucking dangerous. I loved .5 [The Gray Chapter], but this album, to me, makes .5 look like nobody’s business.”
