NOFX will be dropping their 13th studio album, First Ditch Effort, on Oct. 7 on Fat Wreck Chords. The punk legends have already released the single "Six Years on Dope" and have just unveiled another new tune, "Oxy Moronic," with a new music video, teaming up with Funny or Die. In a double dose of good news, they've also announced a string of tour dates for November.

Never short on puns, mainman Fat Mike tackles issues in the pharmaceutical industry with the increasing rise in the abuse of prescription drugs. "The healers have become the harmers / they're just pharmaceutical pharmers /  What we used to call dealers / We now call doctors" underlines the frontman's stance, as he goes on to inset more puns using the name of commonly advertised medication. Despite this grim theme, the song takes on the typically bouncy, undeniably catchy moments fans have come to expect from NOFX.

Fat Mike offered some insight into the video, explaining, “I thought it was a long shot, but I sent our new song 'Oxy Moronic' to my friend at Funny or Die to see if they wanted to use it for something. He played it for some people and next thing I know, they asked if they could make a video for it! Funny or Die made a f--king video for NOFX! How cool is that?!?!?! Plus, they recruited a bunch of their comedian friends to be in it too!!! There’s even that guy from Sons of Anarchy in it!”

The frontman also engaged in a Facebook Live question and answer session with fans, detailing how he entered detox to get off painkillers (around the 23 minute mark). He wrote the album while still an addict, knowing he was going to go into detox following the recording. The full video can be viewed below.
