Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann has been accused of assaulting a man at a hotel bar.

Deutsche Welle reports that the alleged confrontation took place at the Bayerischer Hof hotel on June 8 in Munich, Germany following Rammstein's concert in the city earlier that night. A 54-year-old man is said to have made crude remarks toward Lindemann's female companion, Lana, prompting the singer's retaliation which left the man with a bloody nose.

"He said to me in English, 'I would pay double for you,'" Lana told Bild (via Blabbermouth). Lindemann reportedly demanded an apology, but the man in question clenched his fists and suggested the singer walk toward the door. Instead, Lindemann elbowed him in the face and its possible the man has a broken jaw in addition to the aforementioned bloody nose.

Police are currently investigating the situation.

Sophia Thomalla, Lindemann's former girlfriend, defended the singer, telling Bild (via Blabbermouth), "Till is the most polite person I know. I have no idea what happened to upset him. But if he snapped, his reaction was justified."

Rammstein are currently on tour in Europe. No North American tour dates in support of their new album, Rammstein, have been announced yet.
