Riot Fest is one of the most unique festivals out there, typically taking place in three different cities with an eclectic lineup. The fest specializes in the more punk and alternative realms, mixing in a wealth of bands from the very birth of the genres through the biggest and best acts of the modern day. So far, the organizers have announced the location of the 2016 Riot Fest and Rodeo in Denver and 2016 Riot Fest and Carnival in Chicago, along with dates and early bird ticket sales.

The Denver installment will take place Sept. 2-4 at the National Western Complex. The Chicago edition will be held Sept. 16-18 at Douglas Park. Tickets will go onsale Nov. 24 at 11AM CT and are available here with a select amount of three days passes available for $99.98.

For those who do not wish to purchase tickets, but would still like to attend — yes, there's a way — Riot Fest is proud to announce that the Karma Cash program has returned! This will allow fans to earn a three-day pass to whichever location they choose by volunteering with a registered non-profit organization. A minimum of 25 hours of volunteer work must be completed. Those interested can get more details about the Karma Cash program here.

The lineup for Riot Fest 2016 has yet to be announced, but if it is anything like the 2015 lineup, purchasing those tickets early will prove to be a wise move. The festival boasted acts like System of a Down, Modest Mouse, the Prodigy, Pixies, Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop, Tenacious D, Motorhead, Rancid, Flogging Molly, Coheed and Cambria, Alkaline Trio, Anthrax, GWAR, Testament, Swervedriver and so many more.
