Royal Thunder's evolution since making their full length debut in 2012 with CVI has been fascinating. Drifting away from more straightforward riff-rock, they entertained psychedelic and folk-tinged moments on the kaleidoscopic Crooked Doors and now they're set to drop WICK, their most emotionally-stirring and finest achievement to date.

We were fortunate enough to have all four members — bassist / singer Mlny Parsonz, guitarists Josh Weaver and Will Fiore and drummer Evan Diprima — swing by our studio to dive into the nitty gritty of what WICK is all about.

Royal Thunder have an attention-grabbing history as both Parsonz and Weaver are cult escapees and have a documented interpersonal relationship, both of which have caused listeners to make assumptions about the lyrical content. We dove straight into the lyrics, of course, noting an apparent thematic sequence running from track to track, but Parsonz dismissed this, elaborating further while still keeping things a bit mysterious.

WICK will be out April 7 through Spinefarm and pre-orders can be placed through the band's webstore and for digital purchases, click here.
