The surviving members of Nirvana - Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear - reunited last night (Oct. 6) at Cal Jam 18 in San Bernardino, Calif. They were joined by special guests Joan Jett and Deer Tick's John McCauley, but discussion among fans following the special event has swayed toward who they want to see front a Nirvana reunion. While various names have been mention, Seether frontman Shaun Morgan has been a continually reoccurring figure. Check out a number of comments from fans, including a few from the Loudwire Facebook post of the performance, below.

Morgan has fronted Seether since their formation under the moniker Sauron Gas in 1999. He has expressed his love for not only the grunge movement, but Nirvana in particular, on various occasions. In 2014, following the semi-resurrection of Nirvana with Paul McCartney, Morgan said that he wanted to perform with Grohl, Novoselic and Smear.

“It would be something that I would love to do, but it’s not something that anyone has ever asked me to do," he explained. "Obviously, just from being a kid, even just to play a show with those guys would be great. But it’s not something that I’ve ever been approached about doing, but obviously as a childhood dream, it would be great to be on stage with those guys.”
