Sevendust’s Lajon Witherspoon Revved Up for 2011 Uproar Tour

Sevendust singer Lajon Witherspoon is excited for his band to take part in the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival tour, which will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold for the second year in a row. Supporting acts on the main stage include Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine and Escape the Fate.

Sevendust, who already participated in the Music as a Weapon V tour earlier this year, will headline the Uproar Fest's Music Gear Stage.

We caught up with Witherspoon, who told us, “We look forward to this tour; I look forward to seeing everybody.” Sevendust have toured with many of the bands in this year’s lineup; they recently went on the road with Avenged Sevenfold in Europe.

Witherspoon had nothing but good things to say about Avenged Sevenfold. “We’ve built a great relationship with them," he divulges. "They’re some of the coolest cats out there.”

Support for Sevendust on the Music Gear Stage includes acts such as Black Tide, Art of Dying and Hell or High Water.

Not only will fans get to experience an explosive show, but they will also be giving back -- as a portion of each ticket sold will benefit nonprofit groups Child Find of America and the Road 2 Recovery Foundation.

The 2011 Uproar Festival begins Aug. 26 in Camden, N.J., and runs through an Oct. 14 gig in San Francisco. Check out the full itinerary below:
