Slash’s Brother Apologizes for Insulting Axl Rose
With all the hope for a classic Guns N' Roses reunion now that Slash and Axl Rose have apparently reconciled, the last thing fans needed was for Slash's brother to call Axl a "fat bastard" and "fat Elvis." Now, it seems that Slash himself was none to pleased about his sibling's rant.
As reported yesterday (Sept. 11), Slash's brother Albion "Ash" Hudson apparently posted a rant on his Facebook page, knocking fans for constantly asking him if a reunion of the classic Guns N' Roses lineup will happen and in the process firing off unflattering insults about Axl Rose.
After the media picked up on Ash's comments, Slash's younger brother posted an apology on Facebook that reads as follows:
"I apologize to Axl and his legions of fans who were offended by my post of yesterday. I am sorry I shot my mouth off. I know, or should know, better than to get involved in GN’R business. It has come to me [sic] attention that Axl is on a strict diet and losing weight. Unfortunately, my post was very offensive and upsetting to my brother, for which I apologize. To the rest of the world, I had one of these days when people kept asking me about a possible reunion and I had had enough… Again, my apologies.”
It's interesting to note that Ash points out that he has learned that Axl is on a "strict diet and losing weight." It seems like he included too much information in his apology.
While Ash's Facebook page is private, the Instagram account slash_world posted a screen capture of his apology:
Stay tuned as more news develops regarding any potential classic Guns N' Roses reunion.
